If you own a Kitchenaid mixer then you probably already know that there is an extensive array of Kitchenaid mixer attachments to make any mixing job a whole lot easier. Of course it will depend on whether you have a Kitchenaid hand mixer or a Kitchenaid stand mixer but either way you can have a lot of fun choosing.
Here is a list of some of the best Kitchenaid mixer attachments. You might also like to read our review for the Kitchenaid Professional 600 Mixer.
You can find all of the Kitchenaid mixer attachments listed below at Cooking.com:
1. KitchenAid Pasta Roller Attachment – This is a 3 piece set and includes a roller which pretty much does the job of kneading and rolling your pasta and getting it to the right thickness. The other two pieces in the set are a linguine cutter and a fettucine cutter. This will suit all Kitchenaid stand mixers.
2. KitchenAid Ice Cream Maker Attachment – This attachment will convert your Kitchenaid stand mixer into an ice cream maker. How cool is that!?
3. Kitchenaid Food Grinder Attachment – This attachment does the job of grinding meats and I guess any other type of food you want to put through it. It provides both a fine and coarse grinding option.

4. KitchenAid Pasta Maker Attachment – This includes a set of plates that allow you to make thin, thick or flat spaghetti, lasagne and macaroni.
5. KitchenAid Slicer/Shredder Attachment – I love this one. With fine, coarse, thick and thin plates your hand shredding days are over.
6. KitchenAid Sausage Stuffer Kit Attachment for Food Grinder – Start making your own sausages with this attachment. This one works with the Food Grinder Attachment.
7. KitchenAid JE Citrus Juicer Stand Mixer Attachment – You can make your own juice with this one. It actually takes out all the seeds and pulp.

8. KitchenAid Can Opener Stand Mixer Attachment – It’s obvious what this one does. Just attach to the front of your stand mixer and away you go.
9. KitchenAid Fruit and Vegetable Strainer Parts – This attachment purees fruits and vegetables. Perfect if you want to make baby food. You need the food grinder for this to work.
10. KitchenAid Grain Mill Attachment – Now this one is pretty cool if you would love to grind your own grains for making bread or whatever else that requires ground wheats and grains.
11. KitchenAid Ravioli Maker Attachment – This one is absolutely brilliant in how it all works. It’s not cheap but if you love make ravioli you will love this.

Hi
I have just received a Kitchenaid mixer as a gift this Christmas and I am loving it but i have just made cakes and cookies so far. I would like to start getting some attachments to make the most of my machine but I can’t afford all of them at once. Which attachments do you recommend for a “beginner”?
Thanks
Janice (a happy baker)
I have the ice cream maker and now just aquired the slicer/shredder. I love them both! On my “wish list” this year is the pasta maker attachment. I would suggest you look for deals and websites other than Kitchen Aid, they can be found alot cheaper elsewhere. I have gotten mine at Kohl’s when I have a coupon and Kohl’s cash!
Thats great Laura. I love the ice cream maker and its also makes great sorbets. I find Amazon are a great place to pick up reasonably priced mixer attachments.
That’s a difficult one to answer as it really comes down to what you like cooking.
In my opinion I would go for one of the following but again it depends on what you like to do. Also make sure you read the reviews carefully before you purchase:
- ice cream attachment
- pasta roller attachment
- food grinder attachment

Thanks Paula. I think I will get the food grinder first as that seems to have more uses than the others and then maybe the ice cream attachment in the summer when I feel more like eating something cold.

I love this site! Thank you for the tips/info. I just got a Kitchen Aid mixer and did not know it was capable of soo many things, I’m excited to make pasta, juice and the list goes on and on…;-)
I have owned my KitchenAid Classic Mixer for almost 12 years and it has worked hard and performed well consistenly without need of repair. It can handle the toughest kitchen jobs without over-straining its motor. I have used it to mix batters and doughs, to grind grain and coffee, to shred cheese and veggies and grind meat and stuff sausage. I have tested it to the max and it has never let me down. It has been my best asset during the last 11 1/2 years as my family has grown from 7 to 11 in all.
I think my next additions to the attachment group will be the pasta maker. I’m dying to make my own pasta. I see you recommended it above, so I think it will be next!
