Donvier Yogurt Maker Review
By Paula on Oct 13, 2008 in Kitchen Appliances, Reviews
There’s nothing like making your own yogurt at home. You know exactly what ingredients go into the making of it and you can adjust the recipes to suit your taste and preferences.
At under $60 the Donvier Yogurt Maker is a good value for money machine that will have you making your own yogurt in no time.
This yogurt maker makes up to 1.5 quarts of yogurt but don’t be fooled into thinking that you will be able to add your ingredients, press a button and have your yogurt ready to go. You actually have to do a bit of preparation prior to using this machine but it’s certainly not labor intensive.
Basically you have to heat some milk in your microwave or on your stovetop, add the culture and mix. Then you add the mixture to the yogurt machine jars. From then on it is up to the yogurt machine to do the work. It’s real simple.
Reviews on the internet were exceptional for this item.
What We Like
- This yogurt maker has an automatic shut off and beeps when completed.
- You get a thermometer stirrer thrown in with this machine.
- You can set the timer to ‘cook’ the yogurt from anywhere between 4 and 14 hours.
- It’s so easy to use.
What We Don’t Like
- Not much really…this is a reasonably priced item and does the job beautifully. the only downside might be the fact that you still have to do a bit of work prior to using the machine.
