Do you have trouble removing lids from jars? Some of them can become so stubborn and no matter what you do they can be impossible to open. This is where the Kuhn Rikon Gripper Jar Opener comes into play.
This little utensil fits around the lid and locks on tight so you won’t have the problem of slipping. To use you it you just place the opener over the jar lid and then turn the knob to tighten so that it locks the lid. Then grasp the handle and turn to open.
This opener can be used on lids and caps from 1 inch to 3.5 inches wide. It also works on smooth sided and grooved lids.
This is a particular good product if you have arthritis or muscle weakness in your wrist and hands. Most of the reviews on the internet were from people with some sort of condition that prevented them from opening jars easily and most, if not all, were extremely pleased with how this product worked for them.
