Review: Starbucks Barista Aroma Solo Monique Coffee Maker

starbucks-barista-aroma-solo-monique-coffee-makerThe Starbucks Barista Aroma Solo Monique Coffee Maker is a neat idea. Just brew up your coffee in the tumbler and then take it with you.

This is perfect for those on the go but it will also work well if you are single or are the only coffee drinker in your home.

The tumbler itself takes up to 16 fl oz (473ml) and keeps coffee hot for up to 2 hours.

What We Like

  • It has a 24 hour pre-programmable function which means you can set your coffee maker to have your coffee ready for you when you wake up in the morning.
  • When the brew is ready an alarm will go off and the timer will display a count down of the time since the coffee was brewed.

What We Don’t Like

  • The tumbler has to be fitted in the right spot before it will start brewing.
  • The tumbler is not dishwasher safe.

  1. where can i just get the cup. i dropped mine and i need to get a new one.

    • This machine appears to out of stock in most places at the moment, and hopefully I will have a response for you shortly on where you can pick up a new cup.

  2. Hello,

I too am looking for cup for my solo coffee maker.

  3. I too am looking for about 4 replacement tumblers…. don’t like taping the bottom to get it to work with a regular cup.

  4. I am very upset that I lost my cup. Where can I find a new replacement one?

  5. CUPS! CUPS! CUPS! we need CUPS!!

    • Well I have tried everywhere and these cups just aren’t available. I will keep trying but it doesn’t look as if Starbucks is going to supply them anymore.
Will keep you all updated if I find a source.

  6. Hey i know this is an old thread, but if anyone out there is listening… I just took the spring out at the bottom of the removable filter holder. this allows you to fit other mugs or cups under like a shorter one or even a regular coffee mug.

    • Thank You! I bought this coffee maker at a thrift shop without a mug, which they said was not required. I found a replacement on ebay, but it was $30. I did what you said and it worked. Yay!

      • Hello, this is random but I acquired this from a garage sale…where do you get the filters for this and does it just take normal ground coffee? Thank you!!

    • Thanks so much! Good thinking. I got my solo coffee maker at Goodwill for under $5, but no cup. I’d like to think that I would have figured this out eventually, but thanks for saving me the trouble.
