kitchenaid-pasta-roller-attachment-set-for-stand-mixersIf you have a Kitchenaid Stand Mixer then you are probably already aware of all of the neat attachments available for it. (If not, check out our big list of Kitchenaid Attachments)

One of the most fun attachments to use is the Kitchenaid Pasta Roller Attachment which fits on all Kitchenaid stand mixers and comes with 3 pieces.

Making your own pasta has never been easier with this Kitchenaid stand mixer attachment set.

1. The Roller

kitchenaid-pasta-roller.JPGThe first piece is a roller that is used to knead your dough and roll it out to the desired thickness.

It comes with an adjustment knob which allows you to adjust the thickness level and has 8 different settings:

  • Settings 1 or 2 are for kneading and thinning dough.
  • Setting 3 is for thick kluski type egg noodles.
  • Setting 4 is for egg noodles.
  • Setting 4 or 5 is for lasagna noodles, fettuccine, spaghetti and ravioli.
  • Setting 6 or 7 is for tortellini, thin fettuccine and linguine fini.
  • Setting 7 or 8 is for angel hair type pasta or very fine linguine.

2. The Fettuccine Cutter

kitchenaid-fettuccine-cutter.JPGThe fettuccine cutter attaches in the same way as the roller and allows you to make…yes you guessed it…fettuccine!

So once you have used the roller your dough should be at the right thickness to feed into the fettuccine cutter.

There’s not much to it really, just feed it in and out it comes in the fettuccine shape ready for immediate use or drying or freezing for later use.

3. The Linguine Cutter

kitchenaid-linguini-cutter.JPGAlthough Kitchenaid calls this a spaghetti cutter in their instruction manual, you’re not going to get the round spaghetti shape with this. It is more of a linguine cutter which is what they call it in the rest of their promotional material.

So we’ll stick with calling it that as well since it makes a flatter shaped pasta.

This attachment works in exactly the same way as the Fettuccine Cutter. Just feed in the pasta and out comes your linguine. Too easy!

The instruction manual also came with a number of pasta recipes which is really handy.
