We have a strong liking for Kitchenaid. Their products are good quality, solid and built to last. Unfortunately however, this set of Kitchenaid utensils does seem to have a couple of design flaws that a number of reviewers weren’t happy with.
The first related to the size of the utensils. They are actually quite big and while some were happy with this, others felt that they took up too much space when trying to store them. For instance, the handles are quite thick so many found that when storing them upside in a crock they took up too much space.
The heavy handles were also a problem. When resting on the side of a fry pan for instance, they would sometimes tip backwards out of the pan, taking the food with it. And those with small hands, found them too difficult to manage.
Another problem that some reviewers found was that the slotted spatula was not pointed enough at the end so they found it difficult to use to pick up things like cookies.
One other flaw that some noticed was that after washing, the handles retained water and they found that when stirring that the water would drip out into the food.
Funnily enough though, despite all of these flaws, there were still a good number of consumers who were extremely happy with the set.
