It comes with a strainer which fits perfectly into the pot and makes it so much easier to lift out the asparagus without having to try and strain the water in the usual way.

The steamer comes with a glass lid so you can watch your asparagus cooking without having to constantly remove the lid to check on its progress.

The pot itself is made from 18/10 stainless steel with an aluminum core. Aluminum is a great conductor of heat and ensures even cooking.

Although specifically made for asparagus you could easily use this steamer for cooking corn, boiling eggs and most vegetables.
