waring-pro-belgian-waffle-makerOn my last visit to San Diego we stayed at a hotel that had a Belgian waffle maker. Now that I think of it, I am sure it was one of these Waring Pro WMK300 Belgian Waffle Makers.

It did the job beautifully and I had the pleasure of eating lovely crisp and fluffy (on the inside) waffles for the whole time I stayed there.

This is a very popular waffle maker and for good reason. Waring have made a professional quality product for the home user. It makes thick crispy waffles extremely well and they are extra thick as well.

Even so apart from the fact that this makes great waffles and does the job beautifully, quite a number of reviewers indicated that their waffle iron just stopped working after a certain amount of time.

So it’s great while it lasts which is a real shame as this could be one hell of a waffle maker otherwise. Hopefully Waring are working on this problem or maybe it was just a bad batch that went out on the market. I guess we will just have to wait and see.

What We Like

  • It has a 6 setting browning control knob.
  • It has extra deep pockets for extra thick Belgian waffles.
  • It lets you know when the waffle is ready with a beeping tone.
  • It comes with a measuring cup so you know exactly how much to pour in.

What We Don’t Like

  • Too many reviews have been written about this waffle maker no longer working.

OUR RECOMMENDATION

Although this waffle maker makes perfect waffles the problem associated with it  no longer working may mean that it might be a bit of a risk to purchase. Our recommendation would be to buy the Kitchenaid Proline Waffle Iron which has received exceptional reviews from consumers.
