Prepara Herb Savor: Keeps Cut Herbs Fresher for Longer

Submitted by Paula on December 28, 2008 – 1:34 amNo Comment

prepara-herb-savorI love fresh herbs but buying them from the market can be expensive especially when they don’t last that long once you bring them home. The Prepara Herb Savor changes all that by keeping those cut herbs fresher for longer…in fact for up to 3 weeks!

We use coriander quite regularly in our house mostly to make our favorite recipe of Larb, but we don’t always use the whole bunch that we buy from the market and it invariably wilts before we make the next batch. That’s why we could really do with one of these great little devices.

How Does it Work?

The base of this holds water so you simply fill it up by removing the plug. You then place the herbs into the stainless steel basket and place it into the plastic chamber and then click into the base. It’s also recommended that you change the water once in a while.

The unit fits easily into a fridge door but can stand upright in other areas of your fridge that can take the height. It won’t tip easily as it is weighted at the bottom and has a rubberized bottom edge.

The only fault we can find with this herb savor is that it really isn’t big enough for bigger bunches of herbs.
