Aluminum is also an excellent material in cookware as it ensures even heating. So you don’t get those annoying hot spots that you can get in some skillets where you have to continually move food around the pan in order for it to cook evenly.
The handle is made from 18/10 stainless steel and is riveted to ensure that it doesn’t come loose as often happens with screwed on handles. The silicone coating on the handle ensures a comfortable and secure grip.
The skillet is oven safe to 400F which means you can transfer it straight from stove top to the oven without having to transfer the contents to an oven proof dish. This saves on clean up time too.
The skillet comes with a tempered glass lid so you can keep an eye on your food cooking without having to constantly remove the lid. It is also quite stylish looking with its stainless steel rim.
Circulon promote this skillet as having a patented Total Hard Anodized Hi-Low Food Release System. According to Circulon that means that the nonstick surface will outlast all other non-stick surfaces. They guarantee it!
This is quite a deep pan as skillets go and when it comes down to it, this could almost be classed as a saute pan. The only thing that really distinguishes this from a saute pan is the fact that it doesn’t have a helper handle and the sides are slightly flared.
The only real drawback with this skillet is that it isn’t dishwasher safe so hand washing is required. Fortunately the nonstick surface makes this relatively easy.
