REVIEW: Calphalon One 13in Nonstick Chef’s Skillet

I like the Calphalon One range of cookware. It’s good quality, durable and nothing sticks to it. This also means that clean up is real easy. This is important because this chef’s skillet isn’t dishwasher safe.

The Calphalon One Nonstick Chef’s Skillet is kind of a cross between a regular fry pan and a saute pan. It’s not quite a fry pan because the sides are too high and it’s not a saute pan because it has sloping sides. It doesn’t really matter as when it comes down to it, this is a very versatile skillet. You could pretty much cook anything in this one.

The pan is made from heavy gauge aluminum so it’s strong and durable and it comes with a clear glass lid so you won’t constantly have to lift the lid to see how your food is cooking.

The skillet is also oven safe to 450F. This is excellent news as it means you can transfer the pan straight from stove top to oven without having to transfer the contents into an oven safe dish.

The handle on this Calphalon One Chef’s Skillet is riveted in place so you won’t have the problem of the handle becoming loose. It’s also stays cool to touch – at least on the stove top anyway. You would still want to use oven mitts if you are going to use the pan in the oven.

This skillet has a lifetime warranty.
