Whether you are mixing batters, soups or any other type of kitchen concoction, you may want to call in the Cuisinart CSB-76 Smart Stick Hand Blender . While many people think of hand-held blenders as small, weak mixing machines, this one breaks the stereotype. It has a 200-watt motor that allows for a lot of mixing power.
The long stainless steel assembly shaft allows you to mix in shallow and deep containers alike, and the guard around the blades not only protects you from accidental injury, but also stops your mixture from splashing all over the place as you mix. You can either mix things right in the pot or pitcher you are using to cook them in, or it comes with it’s own plastic beaker with a 2-cup capacity.
The Cuisinart Smartstick hand blender CSB-76 is lightweight, making for easy holding and usage and is simple in operation with only a button to push to turn it on and off. Additionally, the handle on the blender has been ergonomically created so even sore and sensitive hands can comfortably use it.
What we like:
- While this may be a smaller hand mixer, it has a lot of power packed in the small size and can mix and blend thick creations.
- The length of the mixing arm allows you to blend all the way to the bottom of deep containers, so there are no pockets of unblended ingredients.
- The blades and the assembly can be put in the dishwasher to make for easier clean up after use.
What we don’t like:
- It only has one speed. It would have been nice to have variety in blending speeds for those more delicate concoctions.
- This machine can also be hard to handle. It may take a little time to get used to using it.
- It doesn’t seem to like blending really hard items, like ice in frozen drinks.
