oxo-good-grips-food-millWhether you love to make home made sauces, stews, soups or any other items that require a lot of foods be broken down, you likely need a food mill. The OXO Good Grips Food Mill seems to have taken a list of things people need in a food mill and tried to combine them into one piece.

Depending on what you are grinding you could need a coarse chop for sauces or stews or a very find grinder for items like baby food. This food mill comes with a variety of grinding discs (coarse, medium and fine) to make sure you can create just what you need.

Additionally, the 11-inch bowl has been created in stainless steel so you don’t have to wait for foods to cool to run them through the mill. Hot foods can be poured in and ground without doing any damage to the mill mechanism.

The legs on OXO Good Grips Food Mill are adjustable so you can make them fit over most pots and grind foods right into their next cooking container.

What We Like

  • This food mill has been constructed in a way that it is easy to get a grip on and hold in place.
  • It has adjustable legs so you can attach it to the top of any bowl to make less mess when you are preparing a meal.
  • Adjustable grate sieve discs that can keep everything from seeds and skins out for precise recipes or allow you to have a little thicker pulp for sauces.
  • It is quieter than many other food mills on the market.

What We Don’t Like

  • This food mill only has a medium capacity. This is all right if you are only cooking for a few people, but if you are trying to prepare a large meal it can get annoying.
  • There is no scraper at the bottom of the food mill. This means food will get stuck underneath and you will spend some time with a spoon or knife trying to get it out.
