REVIEW: Trudeau Gravy/Fat Separator

There is nothing worse than lumpy fatty gravy. It can really ruin a good meal.

This is where a good gravy/fat separator can come in handy.

The Trudeau 0991105 Gravy/Fat Separator creates a smooth fat reduced gravy by filtering the lumpy bits and the fat through a fitted strainer.

This pitcher was voted as the best fat/gravy separator by Cooks Illustrated in 2004.

What We Like

• The pitcher is heat resistant to 400F – this doesn’t mean you should be putting this in the oven however. What this means is that the gravy you pour into the pitcher can be as hot as 400F without causing the pitcher to crack.
• It is microwave safe.
• This gravy/fat separator is dishwasher safe so you won’t need to hand wash this one.
• It comes with a 5 year warranty.
• It holds up to 4 cups of gravy so is a pretty decent size.
• It comes with measurements along the side.
