Review: Waring Pro MG-800 Professional Meat Grinder, Brushed Stainless Steel

These days many people are looking to purchase their own meat grinder for a number of reasons. The first is the price of meat. With the price of everything going higher and higher it often is more economical to do some of the convenience work (such as grinding) yourself. Others are hunters and want to use some of their game meat in many forms, including ground meat. Still others like the idea of being able to know just what is going into their ground meat so they can deal with any dietary concerns and know just how healthy it is.

Whether you have one of these reasons or any other, you can’t go wrong with the Waring Pro MG-800 Professional Meat Grinder. This grinder is powered by a 450-watt motor, which means it can grind nearly anything you want to put through it. Consider this a professional grinder that was designed to be in your home instead of in a restaurant.

In addition to just ground beef, it also comes with attachments that will allow you to make small sausages out of the meat in the hopper.

Also, unlike other grinders that can clog when something large gets stuck in the hopper, this has a reverse button that will let you break loose the clog without having to stop grinding.

What We Like

This is extremely easy to operate.
While there are a lot of pieces involved, it does pop apart easily to make for easier cleaning after you use it.
It has the durability to handle large loads.
It is strong enough to even grind small bones.

What We Don’t Like

You have to clean and dry the machine well to avoid any rusting.
This seems to be more for personal use than for professional use as it takes a while to create each batch.
While it breaks apart easily for cleaning, it all has to be washed by hand.
