Norpro 5-Inch Ceramic Garlic KeeperIf you enjoy being able to cook items from scratch, there is no doubt you go through a lot of garlic in your kitchen. This is especially true if you are cooking Italian fare. But where do you keep all the garlic? If you are like most people you find yourself in a difficult situation.

First you usually buy more than you need to make sure you have enough. Sometimes, it’s also cheaper to purchase a bulk bag or carton of garlic. But what do you do with all those extra heads that are not going into this meal?

It’s an eyesore seeing pieces of garlic sitting on the counter, not to mention that just sitting there, it’s going to go bad. Now you have somewhere to put them. The Norpro Ceramic Garlic Keeper can hold 4-6 heads of garlic (depending on their size) and keep them fresh much longer than sitting them out. Additionally, this garlic keeper is made of china with an attractive pattern that is beautiful to put in the kitchen, unlike those broken up heads of garlic that were sitting around.

The construction of this container provides just what heads of garlic need to last longer, a cool dry space where they are shielded from the light, but where some air can still get in.

What We Like:

  • It’s bigger than many other models and can hold a good amount of garlic, up to 3 or 5 heads.
  • It’s a very attractive way to keep your garlic in the kitchen.
  • It keeps the garlic smell in while still having garlic nearby when you need it.
  • It can make a the garlic last a long time which is great since often when cooking a little garlic goes a long way.

What We Don’t Like:

  • The china can chip easily so you need to be careful with it.
