These are ideal for storing all of those regularly used staples like pasta, rice, flour, sugar, coffee or tea.

Just note that the large canister won’t take a full 5lb bag of flour. This was a complaint of a number of reviewers on the net.

What We Like

  • Glass lids allow you to see what’s inside. You’ll need it as unless you want to stick labels on these canisters, you won’t know what is inside.

calphalon-copper-cleanerIf you own a set of copper cookware then you are probably already aware that they can tarnish pretty quickly. Copper cookware does take a bit of work to keep it looking good so a good copper cleaner is worth every cent if it does the job well.

Calphalon have manufactured their own copper cookware cleaner and from all accounts it appears to do the job of cleaning copper cookware quite well. Although this product is made for copper cookware a number of reviewers have used this on their stainless steel cookware with great success.

To use you just apply with the applicator that is provided or you can use a sponge or a dishcloth. Then you rinse in hot water and dry thoroughly.

Most of the reviewers on the net were extremely pleased with this product. I could only find one that was dissatisfied.

calphalon-cutlery-setAnyone who reads this blog on a regular basis knows that I like Calphalon cookware. It really is a top quality product and this Calphalon cutlery set is no exception.

The Calphalon 15 Piece Traditional Cutlery set comes with a solid maple block that will look the part in any kitchen.

This set includes everything you will ever need.

What’s Included

  • 4.5in paring knife
  • 6in utility knife
  • 8in slicer
  • 8in chefs knife
  • 8in bread knife
  • 6in fork
  • 10in sharpening steel
  • kitchen shears
  • set of 6 steak knives
  • wood knife block

What We Like

  • Lifetime Warranty
  • Each knife is made using one piece of steel. This generally indicates a good quality knife.
  • These knives are sharp and do the job intended.
  • On each of the handles (except the steak knives) is an etched description of what the piece actually is.

What We Don’t Like

  • These knives are not dishwasher safe so it means hand washing only. If you use the dishwasher you will find the knives will stain and may rust.
  • The block actually doesn’t accommodate all of the steak knives so you will need to store these separately.

Overall this set received exceptionally good reviews on the internet so it is one we definitely recommend.

You will be delighted with its size because it holds ample food so that when you are having a dinner party or family gathering you will be able to serve plenty of tasty food such as risotto, stew, chilli or spaghetti sauce. It will even hold a whole chicken which you can potroast or for making chicken stock.

The two side handles make it easy to manage the pot as you take it from the oven to table and it is certainly attractive enough to place on the table to serve from.
