The Bodum Chambord 3-cup Coffee Press has all of the traits of a traditional press, but makes more coffee than many of them, with room to make 8 – 4 ounce cups of coffee.

The process of using a coffee press is easy. Pour the grounds into the carafe then add hot water. Let the grounds steep for a few minutes then push the plunger and screen down the carafe and watch all the grounds sink to the bottom leaving fresh brewed coffee for you to pour out.

If you are serving dessert, this is a great way to go, as it’s fashionable and can be done at the table so you don’t miss any of the conversations.

The carafe is made of glass that is easy to clean and the rest of the frame of the press is made of brass that has been chrome plated to make it an attractive, yet sturdy, addition to your kitchen.

BonJour Hugo 3-Cup Unbreakable French PressHave you ever wondered how you can make a great cup of coffee at home? Well you don’t have to bring a barista home from your favorite coffee shop. You can get the same results by learning how to use a French press to make coffee.

A French press is essentially a small serving coffee maker. The grounds are placed in the container, and then hot water is added. Let the grounds steep for a few minutes then push a rod and screen mechanism down through the water. This will force all of those coffee grounds through the hot water, pulling the rich coffee flavor from them. Pour and serve.

Many of the coffee presses on the market are made of glass. While this is nice, that makes them much easier to break. All it takes is hitting them up against a piece of metal or something in the sink and the entire carafe has been ruined and is no longer usable.

With the BonJour Hugo 3-Cup Unbreakable French Press, Black this is no longer a problem. This press is made of polycarbonate, which is nearly impossible to break. This means even if you are a little less than careful with this press, it will still keep working for you. It’s also easy to keep a hold of with a rubberized comfort grip.

What We Liked:

  • If you have a habit of knocking things over or hitting them together in the sink, you will appreciate that this is unbreakable.
  • The French press offers fantastic flavor.

What We Didn’t Like:

  • When it says three cups that means 3 – 4 ounce cups
  • The plastic screen is not as sturdy as it should be and grounds can sneak around the sides.
  • The screen is so fine it clogs easily.

Bodum’s New Kenya 34-Ounce Coffee Press

Bodum Kenya Coffee PressJust take a look at the Bodum New Kenya 34-Ounce Coffee Press and tell me that this isn’t a stylish, modern looking press.

Bodum  are renownned for their coffee presses  and using a press is one of the simplest ways to make yourself a flavorsome cup of coffee.  Mind you at 34 ounces, the Kenya coffee press will make enough coffee for 3-4 people.

Making coffee is just so easy, all you need to do is pop in some coarse ground coffee and add approximately one 7 gram scoop to every 4 ozs of water.

Next, you simply fill the beaker  to about an inch from the top, with hot water making sure that the water is just off the boil.

Then mix the coffee grounds into the water by stirring  it with a plastic or wooden utensil making sure it mixes thoroughly.

Close the  safety lid and leave your coffee to brew for approx 4 mins, then press. Open the safety lid and serve.

The Kenya Coffee Press from Bodum has a durable, heat-resistant glass beaker which is partially surrounded by a modern looking black plastic frame which has round cut outs on the sides and covers the bottom so that you can safely use it directly on the table top without having to put down a trivet or coaster.

And because it has a 36 part stainless steel filter system built into the press you don’t require any additional filters, so ithe whole thing is easy to clean up with a minimum of fuss.  All you need to so is scoop out the grounds with a rubber spatula, and rinse the beaker and filter. The parts are all dishwasher safe.

The  coffee press has a stay cool handle  built right into the sturdy New Kenya frame.

The New Kenya is also available in 3, 4, and 6 cup sizes.

One thing that consumers did comment about was that this coffee press has a plastic nut to hold all the filter pieces together and they felt that a metal nut would have served better and be less likely to break.
