At long last we’ve added a review for the Kitchenaid Artisan Stand Mixer. This beautiful piece of equipment is one of those ‘must haves’ for any keen baker or home cooker.

We found it hard to find anything we didn’t like about this mixer. For starters, it receives extremely good ratings from consumers – at time of writing this post over 1300 people gave this stand mixer a 5 star rating on Amazon. That’s pretty amazing really.

It’s also just a pleasure to look at this mixer. You won’t be keeping this one away in a cupboard.

The only problem you might find with this mixer is trying to figure out what color to choose. Kitchenaid have provided over 25 colors so really there’s no excuse for finding one to match your kitchen decor. I personally like Empire Red which is the color you see in the picture to the left.

One of the best things about the Kitchenaid Artisan Stand Mixer is the number of attachments you can add to this thing. This really makes this a multipurpose appliance. The beater, dough hook and wire beater come packaged with your stand mixer…all other attachments are at any extra cost. • You are able to put all the items in at once and let them feed through the tray instead of running back and forth grabbing handfuls of ingredients.
• This makes big mixing jobs much easier to complete.

What We Don’t Like

• You can’t pour liquid ingredients in with this attachment as it is not waterproof and liquids will leak through onto the counter.

• This particular mixer has limited power. This is all right for the periodic user, but if you are one of those folks who are always creating something in the kitchen, you may want something with more oomph.

It’s important to note at the outset that the Kitchenaid Fruit and Vegetable Strainer only works if you already have a Kitchenaid Food Grinder and of course a Kitchenaid Stand Mixer

You don’t need extra tools to assemble the parts to a food grinder. It can all be done by hand.

With the fruit and vegetable strainer you can make applesauce, baby food, tomato sauce and homemade jams.

This KitchenAid FVSP Fruit and Vegetable Strainer has received exceptional reviews on the net with most extremely pleased at how well it makes applesauce. Those that had problems generally used fruits like raspberries, blackberries and grapes. These are not recommended in the Kitchenaid Strainer as the small seeds can clog the strainer.
