Now pitting cherries for making homemade preserves, canning cherries and have cherries on hand for cherry pie is a a breeze. You can also use the pitter when you just want to eat fresh cherries for eating or to put in fruit salad.

The beauty of the OXO cherry pitter is that the cherry holder is extra large so that it will take the larger cherries such as the Bing and Ranier varieties and a recessed cup which will securely hold smaller varieties when pitting.
