And although you can manually roll out the pasta, what is really needed to get it ‘just right’ is the KitchenAid pasta roller which you will have to purchase separately. Even in the manual for this ravioli maker attachment, KitchenAid provide instructions for preparing the pasta using the pasta roller.
This attachment does work if you use it correctly. You can see the results of this in the Amazon consumer submitted images section to see how well the ravioli can turn out.
Also note that this is not an automated attachment. To get this to work you actually have to hand crank it.
